General Event Calendar Track

At the risk of complicating things more, some sort of general calendar track might be nice. A row above the others on week view, for instance, that could hold general events for the days that affect my instruction, possibly, but not necessarily my class—like "World Language Field Trip" or "Sophomore Registration" or "Prom" etc.

Extra bonus, of course, if it could import events from my school Google calendar. :P

Or is there another way of keeping track of such things that I've missed?
