Quicker special event creation

This is a very non-urgent suggestion, but I'm setting up my 19-20 planbook and finding that adding special events takes a REALLY obnoxiously long time for two small reasons. First, when you go to choose the date, you have to click the arrows all the way to that month. If it's a multiple-day event, you have to do this twice; it doesn't even start the "to" calendar at the "from" date. If you're doing the events for the whole year at once, this takes forever and is easy to mess up. I wish I could A) type in the date or B) click through months and years separately. Second, I wish I could copy special events. For example, BCPS has an early release and/or PD day almost every month. It would be great if I didn't have to do all the same clicking and typing over again for each one. Just some thoughts! Thanks y'all!
