Start up

Whenever I turn Commoncurriculum on, it reverts back to the first day of school and I need to jump ahead to the current day. It never did this before and I guess it is not that big of a hassle right now but it will be as the school year wears on. Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing which would remedy this?
